2016 Fall Plant Sale at NC Museum of Art

Pi Alpha Xi - Fall Plant Sale

The fall semester is back in full swing, and with that comes the Pi Alpha Xi fall plant sale!  Pi Alpha Xi, or PAX, has two plant sales every year at which they sell trees, shrubs, vines, perennials, annuals, vegetables, houseplants and more.  Profits are donated to horticultural non-profits, charities, and scholarships.  This year will mark the 34th year since PAX started having its sales.

PAX has an exciting announcement for this year’s sales—we are moving to a new location!  Traditionally held in the parking lot of the JC Raulston Arboretum (JCRA), this year PAX will be moving the plant sale to a parking lot at the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA).  We’ll have a much bigger space to transform into a full-service nursery for a weekend, and we’re very excited about this new partnership!  The fall sale will also serve as a soft opening for the new museum park expansion at NCMA prior to their official opening ceremony in November.

The PAX Plant Sale this fall will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 8 am-4 pm and Sunday, Sept. 25 from 10 am-3pm.  Customers wishing to beat the rush can come out Friday, Sept. 23 at 5 pm and for an extra $20, you can shop before everyone else takes the good stuff later in the weekend!  Plant lists for what will be available, as well as additional sale information, will soon be posted on the PAX website.  Also, check us out on Facebook.
